Abstract:
Provided is an electric motor drive system, wherein the system is simplified by stopping on and off controls of commercial drive commands and carrying out commercial synchronous turn-on and parallel-off controls according to a drive speed standard. A system control unit (20) carries out synchronous control for matching a drive output to the phase and amplitude of a commercial power source when the speed of an electric motor (10) exceeds a drive speed standard (n2), and turns on the commercial power source to allow commercial driving of the electric motor (10) when a predetermined criterion is met. When a drive speed standard (n1) is set and a drive-output-side switch (3) is thrown, the drive output is connected to the commercial power source, and when a predetermined criterion is met, variable-speed driving of the electric motor (10) is started (t7) and parallel-off is performed.
