Abstract:
Disclosed is an electric motor having a clutch function according to an embodiment. The electric motor having a clutch function comprises: a drive unit; a reduction gear unit for reducing the rotational speed of the drive unit; and a clutch unit, connected between the drive unit and the reduction gear unit, for selectively cutting off power transmission, wherein the clutch unit comprises: an inner race connected to the drive unit and having a clutch shell; an outer race for outputting rotational force of the clutch shell; a plurality of rollers, arranged in the circumferential direction between the clutch shell and the outer race, for transmitting rotational force to the outer race; an armature that rotates while maintaining a gap between the plurality of rollers; and a solenoid for cutting off rotational force input from the outer race to the inner race by controlling the rotation of the armature.
