Abstract:

An electric motor (1) having an embedded permanent magnet, the electric motor being formed such that magnetic-resistance-increasing parts (19a, 19b) having greater magnetic resistance than the base parts (18) of the teeth parts (4b) of a stator core (3) are provided at the tip of the base parts (18), with the relationship La > 2Lg > Lb being satisfied when the minimum clearance between adjacent base parts (18) in the circumferential direction is La, the minimum clearance of the gap between adjacent teeth parts (4b) is Lb, and the clearance of the gap between the rotor (6) and the stator (2) is Lg. By means of this configuration it is possible to provide an electric motor (1) for which the magnetic characteristics of the rotor (6) are not lost, and which has excellent demagnetization resistance.
