Abstract:
An electric motor (20) comprises a rotor (38), a stator (30), and an electric motor casing (21). The electric motor casing (21) forms a first accommodation space (R1) accommodating a rotary shaft (40), a rotor core (42), and the stator (30), and comprises an inner peripheral surface (23a) including a contacting inner peripheral surface (180a) against which a top section (185b) on the radial direction outside of core raised parts (31b) comes into contact. An outer peripheral side flow passage through which a cooling medium can flow is formed between core raised parts (31b) adjacent to each other in the peripheral direction. The outer peripheral side flow passage is demarcated and formed by the outer peripheral surface of a core body (31) and the inner peripheral surface (23a) of the electric motor casing (21).
