Abstract:
A shaft (10) is rotatably supported only on one side in the axial direction with respect to a rotor core (40). The rotor core (40) has a magnetic saturation facilitation means (50). With each magnetic pole (43) divided with respect to the pole center thereof into two parts: a rotation direction side and a counter-rotation direction side, the magnetic saturation facilitation means (50) facilitates magnetic saturation of a half part (43a), on the rotation direction side, of at least one magnetic pole (43) including a permanent magnet (42). The magnetic saturation facilitation means (50) is provided outside of the permanent magnet (42) in the radial direction. In the magnetic pole (43), the shape of the half part (43a) on the rotation direction side and the shape of a half part (43b) on the counter-rotation direction side are asymmetric with respect to a straight line (L1) passing through the pole center of the magnetic pole (43) and a shaft center (O) of the rotor (12).
