Abstract:
An electric motor system is provided with: a rotating shaft (30), the axis (M2) of which can be displaced with respect to the center of rotation (M1); magnetic bearings (50a, 50b, 50c, 61) for supporting the rotating shaft; a permanent magnet (38), which is mounted on the rotating shaft, and in which multiple magnetic poles are lined up in a circumferential direction that is centered on the axis of the rotating shaft; three detecting elements (37a, 37b, 37c), which are lined up in the circumferential direction that is centered on the center of rotation and detect magnetic flux generated from the permanent magnet; and coordinate-detecting sections (S163, S173, S183, S193, S203, S213) for determining the coordinates of the axis of the rotating shaft on the basis of the output values of two of the three detecting elements selected according to the rotation angle of the rotating shaft.
