Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electric motor mainly used for an electric vehicle or the like, and more specifically, to an electric motor for an electric vehicle wherein: an electric cable inserted into the inside of a housing of the electric motor is inserted through an electric cable inlet hole of a fixing shaft coupling unit that is coupled and fixed by enclosing a fixing shaft, instead of through the fixing shaft, so that a separate through-hole for inserting the electric cable into the fixing shaft is not formed in such a manner that a high strength is maintained without the increase in the diameter of the fixing shaft; a balancing weight groove capable of inserting a balancing weight in a circumferential direction of a housing, particularly, of a rotor, is included such that the rotating balance of said rotor can be adjusted by using the balancing weight; and rims for fixing the wheels are coupled by using first and second rim side coupling units, which are coupled and formed along the girth of an outer surface of the rotor and are in contact with sides of the rims to pressurize and couple the rims, whereby the rims are fixed to the housing through a simple and easy operation.
