Abstract:
An electric motor (50) with an embedded permanent magnet is provided with multiple permanent magnets (14) respectively inserted into multiple magnet-holding holes (13) formed in the rotor core (12) of a rotor (1). In the magnet-holding holes (13) there are formed a pair of fine protrusion sections (7), a pair of large protrusion sections (8), and a pair of diamagnetic escapes (10). A permanent magnet is held between the pair of fine protrusion sections (7). The fine protrusion sections protrude radially inward and are in surface contact with the end faces that correspond to the permanent magnet. The large protrusion sections are provided outside the fine protrusion sections, and extend toward the inside demarcating lines of the magnet-holding holes. The height (Tb) of the fine protrusion sections is less than the height (Ta) of the large protrusion sections.
