Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electric motor with which the difficulty of installing the electric motor can be reduced. [Solution] An electric motor is provided with: a motor casing (2) in which an armature is housed; a flange (3) that is formed to project out in a brim shape on the outside surface of the motor casing (2), and is provided with a plurality of screw-fastening locations; a conductor unit (30) that is electrically connected to the armature, is provided exposed on the outside surface of the motor casing (2), and is positioned further toward the center line (O) side of the of the motor casing (2) than the screw-fastening locations of the flange (3); a wire (20) that has a terminal (21) on one end, is electrically connected to the conductor unit (30) at the location of the terminal (21), and has a power supply connected to the other end; and a cover member (10) that covers the terminal (21) and the conductor unit (30) in an electrically connected state and is detachably attached to the outside surface of the motor casing (2).
