Abstract:
The present invention provides a novel electric motor in which the rotation speed can be controlled without increasing power consumption. The electric motor 10 is provided with a rotor in which a permanent magnet rotates so that either the N or S magnetic pole faces radially outward, a first coil 31 arranged so that the axis is oriented toward the permanent magnet along the circumference of rotation of the permanent magnet, a second coil 32 arranged coaxially with the first coil 31 and further to an outer periphery position than the first coil 31, a control circuit 40 whereby the first coil 31 positioned so as to face one of the magnetic poles of the permanent magnet is energized with a current for generating a magnetic field that is homopolar with the one magnetic pole, and a rotation speed adjustment part 50 for adjusting the current from the second coil 32. In the control circuit 40, an excitation circuit part 42 energizes the first coil 31 when the one magnetic pole is detected by a sensor part 41. The rotation speed adjusting part 50 consumes the current from the second coil 32 and controls the rotation of the permanent magnet.
