Abstract:
An electric parking brake device for a vehicle, the device including a drum brake disposed radially inside a rim portion and an electric actuator that can produce a parking brake state by actuating the drum brake, the electric actuator being mounted on the inner-side surface of a back plate in the vehicle-width direction, wherein: a snow/ice accumulating suppression member (54) is attached to the outer peripheral edge portion of the back plate (13), the snow/ice accumulating suppression member facing the inner circumferential surface of the rim portion (40b) while extending from the back plate towards the inside in vehicle-width direction, and having a wall portion (54a) provided at least on the lower side of an anchor portion (21); and in the projected figure on a plane orthogonal to a rotation axis (C) of a wheel, an outermost edge (54aa) of the wall portion extending in the radial direction of the back plate is disposed outside of an imaginary circle, which passes through the outermost edge of the electric actuator (44) in the radial direction and is centered on said rotation axis. As a result, snow or ice which has been refrozen in the wheel can be prevented from colliding with the electric actuator.
