Abstract:
In order to reduce loss in an electric power conversion device (1) that includes a free wheel diode (4), an arm (9) of the electric power conversion device has a configuration whereby: either an upper-stage or lower-stage switch (2) comprises a first switching element (5) and a second rectifying element (8) that are connected in parallel; and the other switch (2) comprises a second switching element (7) and a first rectifying element (6) that are connected in parallel. The second switching element (7) has a higher switching responsiveness than the first switching element (5) and the second rectifying element (8) has a shorter reverse recovery time than the first rectifying element (6).
