Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a more durable power SiC MOSFET. [Solution] This electric power converter 100 is provided with: a semiconductor element which has a circuit of a plurality of MOSFETs 101 that contain SiC and are connected in parallel; a temperature circuit 150 which senses temperatures; and a gate drive circuit 140 which outputs a signal for electrically disconnecting the source and the drain to the gate of at least one MOSFET among the plurality of MOSFETs on the basis of a signal from the temperature circuit indicating that the temperature is a predetermined value or greater.
