Abstract:
A diode rectifier (110) rectifies an alternating current voltage, output from a neutral-earthing three-phase alternating-current power source (100), to obtain a direct current voltage. A smoothing capacitor (120) smooths the direct current voltage that has been rectified by the diode rectifier (110). An inverter (130) converts the direct current voltage that has been smoothed by the smoothing capacitor (120), to obtain a desired alternating current voltage. A bidirectional switch (160) and a Y-capacitor (170) are connected in series between one end of the smoothing capacitor (120) and earth. A detector (180) detects the voltage across the two ends of the smoothing capacitor (120). A control unit (190) drives the bidirectional switch (160) in accordance with the output from the detector (180).
