Abstract:
The present invention provides an electric power meter provided with: a meter for measuring power that flows in wiring; a control unit (1100) for calculating a measurement value from output of the meter; and a wireless communication device (1200) for transmitting and receiving with external digital equipment (2000) using short-range wireless communication, the electric power meter configured so that, based on a request from the digital equipment (2000), the wireless communication device (1200) transmits the measurement values calculated by the control unit (1100) to the digital equipment (2000), and a meter reading method that checks whether or not the display of the electric power meter body and the digital equipment match, and acquires the measurement value.
