Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain an electric power steering device capable of, when a failure occurs in one motor winding set, continuing control while maintaining driver's steering feeling in a good state. When detecting a failure in each unit of the electric power steering device and continuing control in accordance with the detected failure by a field weakening control using a normal motor winding and a normal inverter circuit, a control unit restricts d-axis current in accordance with a torque ripple occurring in a vehicle's wheel with respect to the field weakening control in a state in which a failure does not occur.
