An electric power steering device where auxiliary steering torque generated by a brushless motor corresponding to steering torque applied to a steering wheel is transmitted with a reduced speed to an output shaft of a steering mechanism. A rotor (10) is provided with a tubular permanent magnet (12) for rotational driving and an object (13) to be detected with which a rotational angle of the rotor is detected. A tubular stator (30) opposite the rotor is integrally formed by resin molding with a laminated iron core (16) around which a coil is wound, detecting means (17) for detecting a rotational angle of the rotor from the object to be detected, and a terminal (19) to which the coil is connected. At least one bearing (8, 9) for rotatably supporting the rotor is provided on the inner diameter side, between the permanent magnet for rotational driving and the object to be detected.
