Abstract:
This electric power steering device computes a first current command value on the basis of at least steering torque, and drives a motor on the basis of the first current command value, thereby assisting control of a steering system. This electric power steering device comprises: a control rotation displacement calculation unit (101) that calculates control rotation displacement, which is the steering angle displacement of the steering angle of a steering system with respect to a threshold value steering angle, when the steering angle is within an angle range between a maximum steering angle that can be achieved by the steering system and a prescribed threshold value steering angle; a control steering angle shift unit (120) that calculates, as a shift control steering angle, a control rotation displacement corrected by a correction amount that corresponds to the sign of either the steering torque or the rack axial force, and the sign of either the control rotation displacement or the steering angle; and a feed-forward control unit (160) that outputs a second current command value that corresponds with the shift control steering angle and the steering speed. The electric power steering device adds the second current command value to a first current command value to calculate a third current command value, and performs assist control according to the third current command value.
