Abstract:
An electric power steering device (100) disposed in the periphery of a heat source provided to a vehicle is equipped with: a rack shaft (30) that steers the vehicle (1); an output shaft (22) to which is provided a pinion gear (41a) that meshes with a rack gear (41b) of the rack shaft (30); a worm wheel (42b) that is provided to the output shaft (22); a worm shaft (42a) that meshes with the worm wheel (42b); an electric motor (50) that rotatingly drives the worm shaft (42a); and a controller (60) that controls the driving of the electric motor (50). At least part of the controller (60) is disposed opposite from the heat source with a rack housing (34) for accommodating the rack shaft (30) interposed therebetween.
