Abstract:
An electric power steering device (100) is provided with: a rack housing (34) storing a rack shaft (30); a worm housing (45) having a storing part (45a) storing a worm wheel (44), and a boss part (45b) arranged to protrude from the outer peripheral surface of the storing part (45a); and a lid member (46) that is fixed to the boss part (45b) through a bolt (47) and closes an opening of the storing part (45a). At least a portion of the storing part (45a) is placed outside the rack housing (34) in a moving direction of the rack shaft (30), and the boss part (45b) is placed outside a deformation range (DR) of a boot (35) that deforms as a tie rod (31) swings.
