Abstract:
A feedforward control section (152) computes a phase angle (θFF) of a voltage vector relative to axis "d", the voltage vector provided by an output voltage from a motor drive circuit (30) being expressed in a d-q coordinates system, based on a target absolute current value (|i|*), a voltage limit value (Vlim) for the motor drive circuit (30), and a rotational speed (ωr) of a motor (20). Based on the deviation (Δi) between the target absolute current value (|i|*) and an actual absolute current value (|i|), a feedback control section (155) computes a phase angle (θFB). For the motor drive circuit (30) to output a three-phase drive voltage, the electrical angle of which has been advanced by a phase angle of (θFF + θFB), a PWM control signal generation section (159) outputs a PWM control signal. When a big reverse input acts upon a steering mechanism (10), this allows the motor (20) to produce a high torque, thereby preventing a steering wheel (11) from being turned.
