Abstract:
An electric power transforming apparatus comprises a switching circuit including a bipolar transistor for switching a DC power supply input. A SiGe hetero-bipolar transistor is used as the foregoing bipolar transistor. The high-speed switching characteristic of the SiGe hetero-bipolar transistor effectively reduces the loss of the electric power transforming apparatus.
