Abstract:
The present invention pertains to the field of pump construction, essentially relates to electric-pulse pumps and may be used in various industrial branches as a liquid pumping and pulverisation system. The purpose of this invention is to adjust the volume of liquid provided by the pump per electric discharge, provided that the discharges have unchanging parameters. This electric-pulse pump-injector comprises a nozzle and a working chamber. The walls of the working chamber include working-fluid supply channels which are oriented tangentially relative to the injector longitudinal axis. The chamber also includes a parabolic reflector comprising an axial discharge channel which is connected to a supply line. The discharge channel is fitted with an electromagnetic valve that comprises a working organ in the form of a needle coaxial with said discharge channel. Electrodes are further arranged in the plane extending through the focus of the reflector. The power source control circuit is connected to the electromagnetic valve through an electronic control unit. The adjustment of the volume of liquid provided per discharge enables the pump-injector to be used for supplying fuel in internal combustion engines. Due to the extreme pressure of the injection and the absence of fine vapours, it is possible to supply any liquid hydrocarbon fuel to the engine, including a fuel containing suspended particles.
