Abstract:
Provided are: an electric-resistance-welded steel pipe which has electric-resistance-welded parts exhibiting both excellent hydrogen-induced-crack (HIC) resistance and excellent low-temperature toughness, and which has a tensile strength (TS) of at least 434MPa; and a production method therefor. This electric-resistance-welded steel pipe has a tensile strength (TS) of at least 434MPa, and has a composition including, in mass%, 0.03-0.59% of C, 0.10-0.50% of Si, 0.40-2.10% of Mn, and 0.01-0.35% of Al, the remainder comprising Fe and unavoidable impurities, and the Si and Mn being adjusted such that (the mass ratio of) Mn/Si is in the range of 6.0-9.0. The electric-resistance-welded pipe is characterized in that: the total amount of Si, Mn, Al, Ca, and Cr included in inclusions which are present in electric-resistance-welded parts of the electric-resistance-welded steel pipe, and which have an equivalent circle diameter of at least 8µm, is not more than 16ppm in mass% with respect to the total amount of ferrite-containing electric-resistance-welded parts having a width of 2mm; and the electric-resistance-welded parts exhibit both excellent HIC resistance and excellent low-temperature toughness.
