[Problem] To solve strength-related problems arising due to forming a shaft extrapolation gear of an electric retractable viewing device for a vehicle from a material having a resin as the base material. [Solution] A shaft extrapolation gear 54 is formed from a material having a resin as the base material. The shaft extrapolation gear 54 has a shaft extrapolation gear-side clutch surface 56 on one end surface in the axial direction of the shaft extrapolation gear 54. Relative to the radial direction position of a tooth bottom P1 of a gear tooth 54b of the shaft extrapolation gear 54, the shaft extrapolation gear-side clutch surface 56 is disposed, in the radial direction of the shaft extrapolation gear 54, at the inner peripheral side and the outer peripheral side of the radial direction position of the tooth bottom P1. The one end surface in the axial direction of the shaft extrapolation gear 54 is configured such that a valley 54a of the gear tooth 54b of the shaft extrapolation gear 54 is blocked at the radial direction position where the shaft extrapolation gear-side clutch surface 56 is disposed.
