Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electric rotary machine, for which the productivity of a stator thereof can be improved through the elimination of a trimming process by preventing varnish from oozing out to housing fitting surfaces located on end surfaces of a core back section, and corrosion of stator cores and a housing thereof due to cutting marks in hardened varnish can be suppressed. This electric rotary machine comprises a stator core and stator windings impregnated with varnish and mounted on the stator core, and is held in a housing in a state in which housing fitting surfaces thereof located on both axial end surfaces of a core back section are axially sandwiched from both sides by the housing, wherein varnish oozing prevention parts are formed on the inner diameter side of the housing fitting surfaces located on both axial end surfaces of the stator cores such that the varnish oozing prevention parts block inflow paths of the varnish from the inner diameter side to the housing fitting surfaces.
