Abstract:
An electric rotating machine (100) includes: an output shaft (7); a magnetic body (28) fixed in a case (21) that surrounds the output shaft (7); a sensor magnet (27) fixed to the output shaft (7) and generating a magnetic field for detecting the rotation angle of the output shaft (7); and a rotation sensor (26) fixed in the case (21) and provided between the magnetic body (28) and the sensor magnet (27) in the axial direction of the output shaft (7) and moreover outputting a signal in response to the intensity of the magnetic field for detecting the rotation angle, wherein the sensor magnet (27) is magnetized with south and north poles thereof positioned in the circumferential direction around the output shaft (7), and the rotation sensor (26) is provided in a region in which the amplitudes of the radial component Br and the circumferential component Bθ of the magnetic flux density B of the magnetic field around the output shaft (7) are equal.
