Title:
ELECTRIC SHOCK ABSORBER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/158383
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electric shock absorber (20) provided with a motor (21) which is rotated due to approach movement and separating movement of a sprung member and an unsprung member which approach, and separate from, each other; and an electrical circuit (50) which establishes connection between the energizing terminals of the motor (21) for the purpose of flowing current into the motor (21). Channel P JFETs (56, 60) are provided in the electrical circuit (50). The gates of the channel P JFETs (56, 60) are connected to one of the energizing terminals of the motor (21), and the sources of the channel P JFETs (56, 60) are connected to the other energizing terminal of the motor (21). For this reason, induced voltage is applied to the gates. The induced voltage represents the stroke speed of the electric shock absorber (20). Therefore, the gate voltage (VGS) is changed on the basis of the relative speed between the sprung member and the unsprung member in such a way as to rise according to an increase in the stroke speed of the electric shock absorber (20). By changing the gate voltage (VGS) as mentioned above, the magnitude of the induced current which flows through the electrical circuit (50) is limited by the channel P JFETs (56, 60) on the basis of the change properties of inter-drain-source current (iDS) with respect to the gate voltage (VGS).
