Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electric sickle, wherein a battery is built in adjacent to the handle in order to use for grass mowing and weeding in rice paddies, fields, and orchards; an electric motor that is driven by power supplied from the battery is installed adjacent to the battery; a rack gear is fixedly installed on the rotation shaft of the motor so that a cutting part that has blades formed at the top and bottom thereof for cutting grass by the rotational force of the electric motor may perform linear reciprocating motion, and is configured to rotate by meshing with a pinion gear that is used to reduce the rotational force of the rack gear and change the rotational direction to 90; a bracket is fixedly installed on the rotation shaft of the pinion gear, is joined with a connection member used to convert the rotational movements of the pinion gear into the linear reciprocating movements of the cutting part with blades formed on the top and bottom thereof, and a protruding joining part used to join with the connection member is installed on one side of the bracket, exceeding 7 to 12 degrees from a center shaft; a worm gear is installed on the opposite side of the rack gear in order to prevent the pinion gear from escaping; a bottom blade with an M beam block is furnished to provide support so that the top blade formed on the cutting part may not escape during reciprocating movements of the connection member; and the connection member that undergoes reciprocating movements is designed and fabricated to carry out rapid linear reciprocating movements of the top blade of the cutting part and to coordinate the top blade with the bottom blade of the cutting part fixed to a frame, thereby cutting off grass or small branches.
