Abstract:
An electric storage device includes a state detection unit that manages and controls the state of a battery unit. The state detection unit reads the inter-terminal voltage of each of a plurality of batteries measured by a battery management unit in an unloaded condition in which the battery unit is separated from a load, and obtains information about the variations in the charge states of the batteries. In addition, the state detection unit obtains, in consideration of the information about the variations in the charge states of the batteries, allowable charge/discharge information necessary for controlling the charging/discharging of the battery unit in a loaded condition in which the battery unit is connected to the load and is charged or discharged, and outputs the allowable charge/discharge information to a charge/discharge device in the battery unit.
