Abstract:
An electric surgical treatment system is equipped with: a treatment tool; a high frequency electric power generating unit for generating a high frequency output to treat biological tissue; an output section for supplying the high frequency output to the treatment tool; a detection unit for detecting the voltage and current of the high frequency output in the output section; a phase difference-detecting section for determining the phase difference between the voltage and current detected by the detection unit; and a control unit for controlling the high frequency electric power generating unit and executing a first phase in which the voltage of the high frequency output in the output section is varied while the high frequency output is applied to the biological tissue and a second phase in which the high frequency output applied to the biological tissue is controlled to have a constant voltage on the basis of the voltage in the first phase period, the control unit switching between the first phase and the second phase according to a transition condition based on the phase difference.
