The present invention relates to an electric tool and a control method therefor. The control method comprises: the electric tool has an acquisition unit and a control unit; the acquisition unit acquires the peripheral state of the electric tool, the peripheral state comprising the power type and/or structural form of the electric tool; feed back the peripheral state to the control unit, the control unit obtains an output parameter of the electric tool according to the peripheral state of the electric tool, the output parameter at least comprising a first parameter and a second parameter, and the first parameter and the second parameter corresponding to different peripheral states. According to the control method for the electric tool, the output parameter of the electric tool is adjusted according to the peripheral state of the electric tool, so that the output of the electric tool under different environments is different, and the recoil force is also different, facilitating users to hold and control the electric tool to operate under different environments, thereby improving operational performance of the electric tool.
