Abstract:
In a conventional electric tool incorporating an automatic transmission which is automatically shifted according to the external torque acting on the spindle, resetting the transmission to an initial state requires a switch lever to be set to the off position, and this has been an inconvenience for users. The electric tool of the invention is configured in such a manner that the transmission is automatically reset as soon as the external torque on the spindle becomes low, and this makes the electric tool more convenient to use.
An internal gear of a planetary gear mechanism which constitutes a transmission (H) is supported by a bi-directional one-way clutch, and a rotation-prevented state and a rotation-permitted state of the internal gear are switched between each other by a switching motor (50) which is operated on the basis of increase and decrease of a load on an electric motor (10).
