Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to inhibit enlargement of the size of the wheel guard of a grinder. Provided is a grinder which includes a spindle onto which a grinding wheel is mounted, and a wheel guard (30) that covers the grinding wheel mounted onto the spindle, wherein a main body which rotatably holds the spindle comprises: a mounting part (49), provided so as to enclose the spindle and equipped with a housing section; an engagement part (32) that is provided at the wheel guard (30) and that engages with the mounting part (49); a plurality of locking pieces (48) disposed in the engagement part (32) at different positions in the circumferential direction of the spindle; a plurality of notches (46) that are disposed at different positions in the circumferential direction of the mounting part (49) and that allow the plurality of locking pieces (48) to enter the housing section; and an inner circumferential edge (44a) that is disposed at a different position than that of the plurality of notches (46) in the circumferential direction of the mounting part (49), and that is pressed against the plurality of locking pieces (48) accommodated in the housing section.
