Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electric tool to which a plurality of battery packs having different nominal voltages can be alternatively connected, wherein the electric tool can be controlled in accordance with the connected battery pack, by means of an inexpensive and simple configuration, without providing terminals or the like for discriminating between battery packs. The electric tool, to which a plurality of battery packs having different numbers of cells provided inside the battery pack can be connected in an alternative manner, comprises a battery voltage detection unit that detects the battery voltage by using the voltage between the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal of the battery pack, and a control unit that controls the electric tool in accordance with the nominal voltage of the battery pack on the basis of the detected battery voltage.
