Abstract:
Provided is an electric tool with a part that has a combination of multiple characteristics. A hammer drill (1), which is an example of the electric tool, is provided with a tool holder (8) comprising a front section (100) that is made of iron (including iron alloys) and a back section (102) that is made of aluminum (including aluminum alloys) and has a different melting point from the front section (100). The front section (100) and the back section (102) are joined by welding. The welding is laser welding. Moreover, the weld penetration depth, which is the depth to which the first metal portion penetrates into the second metal portion as a result of the welding, is 0.2 mm to 0.3 mm.
