This electric tool is provided with a housing 10, a motor 3, an air intake opening 27, and a first partition wall 14. The motor 3 is accommodated in the housing 10. The air intake opening 27 is provided in the housing 10 and is configured so that air for cooling the motor 3 can flow into the housing 10 from the outside thereof. The first partition wall 14 is disposed in the flow path of cooling air, which extends within the housing 10 from the air intake opening 27 to the motor 3, and the first partition wall 14 is configured to define: an air intake region 106 among regions within the housing 10, the air intake region 106 being in communication with the outside through the air intake opening 27; and a motor accommodation region 105 among the regions within the housing 10, the motor accommodation region 105 having the motor 3 disposed therein. The first partition wall 14 is configured so as to permit the passage of cooling air from the air intake region 106 to the motor accommodation region 105 and obstruct the passage of liquid or dust.
