The present application provides an electric toothbrush. The electric toothbrush comprises a driving main body, wherein the driving main body comprises a sliding block, and the sliding block is arranged at the end of the driving main body close to a support assembly; the support assembly comprises a sliding groove, the sliding block partially extends into the sliding groove, a virtual space is provided between the sliding groove and the sliding block, and the virtual space enables the sliding block to rotate in the sliding groove; the driving main body further comprises a trigger plate, and the trigger plate is arranged below the sliding block; and a sensing element is installed on an inner side wall of a housing, with one end of the trigger plate extending to the position above the sensing element. When a brush head is stressed, the sliding block rotates around a point in the sliding groove by means of a driving shaft, the trigger plate approaches the sensing element, and if the distance between the trigger plate and the sensing element meets a preset condition, the sensing element generates a prompt trigger signal. The present application has the advantages of being reliable in structure, convenient and fast to assemble, and low in cost.
