Abstract:
An electric trimmer (10) is provided with a base (20) and with a trimmer body (40) capable of sliding in the axial direction of the base. The base is provided with a slit (21c) extending in the axial direction and open, and is also provided with a lock release mechanism (50) disposed so as to straddle both ends (21a, 21b) of the slit. Operating the lock release mechanism (50) and reducing the distance between both ends of the slit enables the base to clamp the trimmer body. The lock release mechanism is formed as a toggle mechanism configured by combining three support points (51a, 51b, 51c) and two links (52a, 52b) with each other and has a shape which follows the outer peripheral surface of the base. Consequently, the electric trimmer is highly operable, has excellent impact resistance properties, and can be maintained extremely easily.
