Abstract:
An electric vacuum cleaner is provided with: a support member (13) which covers the front outer peripheral part of an electric air blower (8); and an annular flow regulating plate (17a) which has a sloped section (28) having an opening and extending toward the air suction opening (11) of a fan case (10) and which also has a holding section (29) gripped by the support member (13). The flow regulating plate (17a) is configured so that, while being gripped by the support member (13), the flow regulating plate (17a) is disposed as to provide a gap (30) between the flow regulating plate (17a) and an air suction guide (12) and a sound deadening chamber (22) is formed in the space between the sloped section (28) and the holding section (29).
