Abstract:
To realize a reduction in the size and weight of a suction port body of an electric vacuum cleaner. Provided is an electric vacuum cleaner, provided with: a vacuum cleaner main body for internally accommodating an electric blower for drawing in dust and a dust collection chamber for storing drawn-in dust; a suction port body having a suction port for suctioning dust; and a connection pipe for connecting the vacuum cleaner main body to the suction port body, the electric vacuum cleaner characterized by the suction port body being provided with a drawing flow passage for connecting the suction port and the connection pipe, a rotating brush provided to the suction port, a self-propelled roller for allowing the suction port body to travel, first and second electric motors for respectively driving the rotating brush and the self-propelled roller, and a ventilation passage connected to the drawing flow passage from an opening for drawing in outside air, the opening being formed in part of the suction port body, and at least one of the first and second electric motors being contacted and cooled by the outside air passing through the ventilation passage.
