Abstract:
Provided is an electric vacuum cleaner (11) with which it is possible to display the remaining charge of a secondary cell (16) and other such information at a position that is readily recognizable by a user without increasing the amount of wiring passing through a hose body (25). The electric vacuum cleaner (11) has an air duct body (20) and a control unit (21). The air duct body (20) comprises the hose body (25), a connection part (26), a handle operation part (27), a wiring (30), and a lamp (29). The wiring (30) is disposed in the hose body (25) from the connection part (26) to at least the handle operation part (27). The lamp (29) is provided to the handle operation part (27) and is capable of displaying in a plurality of types of display modes. The control unit (21) controls the lamp (29) so as to use different display modes in accordance with preset conditions pertaining to the electric vacuum cleaner (11). When the remaining charge of the secondary cell (16) is less than a prescribed amount, the control unit (21) controls the lamp (29) in accordance with the remaining charge of the secondary cell (16) being less than the prescribed amount even if other conditions are satisfied.
