Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: an electric valve capable of reducing steps for fixing a housing that accommodates a stator to a valve main body; and an assembly method for the electric valve. [Solution] An electric valve (1) comprises: a valve main body (10) having a main body portion (11); a cylindrical stator (60); a cylindrical can (28) joined to the valve main body (10) and coaxially arranged with and inside the stator (60); and a housing (70) that accommodates the stator (60). The main body portion (11) has a retention groove (21). The housing (70) has a mounting plate (82) arranged inside the retention groove (21). The retention groove (21) has an opening (21k) at an end portion on the housing (70) side. The mounting plate (82) is engaged with the main body portion (11) so that the movement of the mounting plate (82) toward the opening (21k) is restricted.
