Abstract:
Provided is an electric vehicle control method for executing stop-time control to decelerate and stop an electric vehicle by means of a regenerative braking force of an electric motor, wherein: the stop-time control includes a first jerk adjusting process for adjusting a jerk of the electric vehicle to be at most equal to a prescribed upper limit value, if the vehicle speed of the electric vehicle exceeds a threshold vehicle speed, and a second jerk adjusting process for adjusting the jerk to adopt a profile such that the deceleration and jerk of the electric vehicle decrease asymptotically to zero as the vehicle speed decreases, if the vehicle speed is equal to or less than the threshold vehicle speed; and the threshold vehicle speed is set to the value of the vehicle speed at which the difference between the jerk set in the second jerk adjusting process and the jerk set in the first jerk adjusting process are at most equal to a prescribed value.
