Abstract:
This electric vehicle drive device comprises: a first motor; a second motor; a transmission mechanism connected to the first motor and the second motor; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the first motor and the second motor. The transmission mechanism comprises: a first planetary gear mechanism, a second planetary gear mechanism, and a one-way clutch that limits the direction of rotation of the first carrier of the first planetary gear mechanism to a predetermined direction of forward rotation. If the control unit rotates the first motor in the reverse direction of rotation to the predetermined direction of forward rotation and rotates the second motor in the direction of forward rotation, the control unit determines the rotational speeds of the first motor and the second motor within the range indicated by formula (1).
