Abstract:
A electric vehicle dry torque converter and a control method therefor are disclosed. A electric vehicle dry torque converter according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a planetary gear, which is connected to an input shaft by means of a first element, is connected to an output shaft by means of a second element, and is variably connected to a fixing part by means of a third element; at least one eddy-current torque generation part which is provided between the first element and the second element, and which generates an eddy current so that same is controlled by the speed of the output shaft; one-way clutches which control a unidirectional connection between the third element and the fixing part and which are connected to each other; and a lock-up device which is provided at the second element so as to be linked with the eddy-current torque generation part, and which directly connects the input shaft and the output shaft while selectively coming in contact with the third element by means of centrifugal force transmitted to the eddy-current torque generation part according to the rotational speed of the output shaft.
