Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electric vehicle with a motor-generator and a driving method thereof, and more specifically to an electric vehicle with a motor-generator capable of controlling the operation ratio between a motor and a power generator, and a driving method thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the electric vehicle comprises: a plurality of rotating means; a motor-generator including a rotator provided with a plurality of magnets and a stator provided with a plurality of induction coils and a plurality of power-generation coils, the motor-generator being arranged facing at least one of the plurality of rotating means; a charger for charging electrical energy generated by the motor-generator; a battery for receiving and storing the electrical energy from the charger; an accelerator for controlling an acceleration state of the electric vehicle, under the control of a driver of the electric vehicle; and a controller, which operates at least part of the plurality of induction coils of the motor-generator as the power-generation coils according to the acceleration state and/or the speed of the electric vehicle, or at least part of the plurality of power-generation coils of the motor-generator as the induction coils according to the acceleration state and/or the speed of the electric vehicle.
