Abstract:
An electric vehicle comprising: a main body having a deck and a stay rotatably coupled to the deck; a seat capable of being held at a storage position and an extended position; a lock member configured so as to restrict relative rotation of the deck and the stay; a lock release member configured so as to release relative rotation restriction by the lock member, such that the electric vehicle can be switched between a usage state and a folded state; a lock release operation unit configured so as to output an operation signal indicating the intention to release restriction on relative rotation; and a control unit configured such that, when an operation signal has been output in a state in which the electric vehicle has been detected as being in the usage state, outputs a drive signal to the lock release member if the seat has not been detected as being in the extended position and does not output a drive signal to the lock release member if the seat has been detected as being in the extended position, said drive signal releasing restriction on the relative rotation of the deck and stay.
