Abstract:
Provided is an electric vehicle which can travel using an electric power generation device that generates electric power on the basis of hydrogen, without an increase in the size of a hydrogen tank. The electric vehicle (1) is provided with: a first tank (11a) for storing organic hydride; a dehydrogenation reactor (30) which includes a first passageway having a first catalyst for promoting a dehydrogenation reaction of the organic hydride supplied from the first tank (11a), and which separates the organic hydride supplied into the first passageway into hydrogen and an aromatic compound; an electric power generation device (51) which generates electric power on the basis of the hydrogen supplied from the dehydrogenation reactor (30); an electricity storage device (52) for storing the electric power generated by means of the electric power generation device (51); and a motor (53) which is driven on the basis of at least one of the electric power from the electric power generation device (51) and the electric power from the electricity storage device (52), and which rotates a wheel (55).
