Abstract:
An electric water heater using lightwave heating and having a pressure adjustment function. A water tank 8 is made from blow-molded or injection molded non-metallic material or from metallic material. A pressure adjuster 12 is provided on the water inlet conduit of the water tank. The pressure adjuster is formed by a housing 12-1, a piston 12-2, a cap 12-3, and a rubber element 12-4. As the pressure inside of the water tank changes, the position of the piston 12-2 inside of the housing 12-1 also changes. The heating method utilized in the water tank involves disposing a halogen or carbon fiber lightwave heating element in the air inside a stainless steel tube, which allows for water to be heated without contacting the heating element.
